In order to create this shoot I retrieved these everyday items, a grey A3 background and two soft boxes. This is because for this shoot I intended to display the slightly dark, discreet colours within these photographs without drawing too much attention to them so that the viewer of the photographs automatically find the colour within the images without it being obvious that there is much colour displayed.

I used the studio lighting and backdrop with a slightly wider aperture to create both a wide and shallow depth of field to experiment between how both types of photographs would capture a viewers attention.

Within each of these photographs I displayed rounded edges to create a subtle pattern with a frame of where the photographs are positioned within the space.

In order to create the shoot above I used this photograph produced by a photographer on Pinterest as inspiration. This inspired my shoot as the props photographed were a similar colour scheme but had some alteration to show some differentiation between the colours to create a clear focal point for a viewer of the image. To create my own representation of this I used a grey background with a similarly coloured spoon and bowl, but I added one prop into every photograph that was slightly contrasting to the background colour, e.g. the cereal.
