RED

To complete this shoot I used two spotlights to create a bold shoot which highlights the reds in each of the objects in a subtle way that could be unnoticed by a viewer of my photographs at first glance. I used a low ISO and a wide aperture to keep the low level lighting throughout the shoot while keeping a wide aperture. I used these props to show that objects that are not completely related can be combined to create a photograph that does not look unordinary or out of place. Some photographs within this shoot remind me of William Eggleston's 'Red Ceiling' photograph as my images display everyday objects subtly with minimal added colour.

William Eggleston's red ceiling inspired me to create my own work similar to his due to the creation of solid composition while using bold block colour within one photograph. This photograph inspired me to create my own photo shoot including still life objects that have the same colour scheme as his photograph. This was to attempt to create a shoot that seems interesting and simple at the same time.
