When completing this shoot I aimed to concentrate on subtle colour and to make the boldness of the red coat contrast to her background while showing a minimal contrast that enables the eyes of a viewer to go straight towards it. In order to do this I used my surroundings to enhance a background in my environment and I used a smaller aperture to keep the photograph darkened. I had a wide depth of field throughout this shoot to help display bold lines which almost frame the model. Although the photograph is dark, I used my white balance to create a warm tone on my models face compared to the dark tones of the background and the majority of her clothes.
