Coffee Shoot

In order to complete this shoot I used two soft box lights, a downward tripod and a woodlike paper background. In order to create this shoot I used the soft boxes to highlight the focal point of my photograph (the coffee and leaves). I positioned this coffee cup and leaves in the centre so that I could show the clear composition of my photograph. I composed this in a way to show the slight contrast of brightness and darkness throughout the image in the multiple different shades of brown/ red in the photograph. In order to show this contrast I used a low ISO and a medium sized aperture to keep the lightness of the background and the darkness of the leaves.

To inspire my shoot above I used this photograph to inspire me. This is because I enjoyed the colours of the shoot and the props used. I therefore altered the composition and the warmth of the photograph to add my own effect to this style of photography. I therefore changed the ISO of the style of photography and used a camera stand to be able to take the photographs in the same way to not add too much variation.
